Every so often, I have a dream where I’m *stuck* in the dream until something forcibly wakes me up. This is why I have my alarm set even though I almost always wake up on my own before it goes off. During this time, I’m stuck in a dream that seems like it spans for days or weeks (sometimes even months!). It’s like that one Junji Ito short.

Anyway, this time I was stuck in some kind of fancy academy. The kind where most everyone there is rich and they hate the handful of poor people who manage to make it in.

For some reason, it was expected that each student would have a personal assistant to help them manage some of their stuff at the academy. No, I don’t know *what* stuff. Just stuff. You were expected to pay for this assistant, which of course the rich students had no issue with. But for us not-wealthy students, the academy had a program to provide one.

On paper, anyway. After three weeks, I still didn’t have one. And I even got in trouble for not having one, despite that it was the academy dragging its feet on the matter.

This culminated into a situation where I was late for a class because I had to do some of the things my assistant would have normally done, and got locked out for being late. A few other students had run into the same problem.

And that’s about when my alarm went off and got me out.
